Old school DnD player

As a recent return to the TTRPG play, love the 'GM gets to choose' the content choices are not overwhelming and with pared down attributes my players don't forget what their characters can actually do. The learning has been fun. Ty!

A quality box set for a quality TTRPG

The core set is very nicely laid out with lovely art and sketches. There has been a lot of attention to detail like printing the chapter markers to the edge of the page so that they can be seen when the book is closed and the 2 gold and purple ribbon markers representing Hope and Fear.

The card box also has nice touches like a magnetic clasp and the cards themselves have great art and a clear layout.

It's great that the whole RPG is in a single book, although with the core set you have to add dice and tokens. The chapters are clearly separated in a way that makes sense and it's easy to find information when needed.

As for the game, I've played 2 sessions so far with 3 other experienced players/GMs and, although we are feeling our way, the system feels fluid and interesting. I've run and played in crunch games like D&D, Hackmaster and Rune Quest as well as more narrative games like Blades in the Dark and PbtA games and it's an interesting blend of the two styles. It's certainly fun and we will have to see how it works out in time.

Whole games group is loving it.

Beautifully put together, and a high quality product. My group are planning to completely move to this system away from 5e. It has relit the spark for ttrpgs for us. I'd whole hearted recommend anyone check daggerheart out.

Pretty much as title states. Really happy with it, the illustrations are gorgeous and while i have yet to play a campaign with it i very much look forward to.

only mild complaint (that is fully my own fault for not reading/noticing in the post) is that the Duality dice are not included in this. Which makes sense for the price point, but at the same when time i read "Core set" without being super familiar with D&D lingo. my immediate assumption would be dice would be included(as the duality system is unique to this ruleset).
But this is a nit-pick. I am VERY happy with my purchase. :D

Amazing value

This product is insane value for what you get. Most games needs several books but this is everything you could need and the product is insanely beautiful. I like the less rigid than DnD play style but also the crunchy-ness that it brings
